The school year is so busy that most teachers have few moments to spend exploring the newest websites or the latest technology. But summer is here, so take advantage of the relaxed pace and learn something new. Up until a few years ago, I was avoiding the digital world, a bit intimidated by my lack of knowledge. (It seems that aging apes are hesitant as well!) After an inspiring keynote by Don Tapscott, author of Grown Up Digital, I decided to take the plunge and have been joyfully exploring ever since. This summer I've been playing with dozens of apps on my iPad, trying to discern which are valuable for the differentiated classroom. Just because it's free, doesn't mean it is worthwhile! I'll be sharing some of the best over the coming months. I have also been amusing myself by watching some of the videos on iPad use - below is one of my favorites!
