At a recent workshop, educators worked together to create a list of questions that might help in planning for co-taught lessons. While not a comprehensive list, here are ten questions that I thought were helpful but a bit atypical for lesson planning. What might you add to this list?
- How can the lesson be extended for students who want to challenge themselves?
- How can we extend this learning to other parts of the day or other areas of study?
- What executive function skills might be necessary and how will we support them?
- How can we make real world connections?
- How can technology be used to transform the learning?
- How can we make tech resources developmentally appropriate and authentic?
- How do we help students be accountable for participation and production?
- What resources will most impact our students’ learning?
- What outside resources can be used to make the learning authentic?
- What questions can be asked to spark students’ curiosity?
