How to Hook Your Reader

   Mnemonics can be extremely helpful for students who struggle with memory issues. Here is one we created recently to help students remember the variety of ways to write an engaging introduction or hook sentence. In addition to showing the visual and having students draw it, we had them chant “QsquaredFad” several times, then hung an anchor chart on the wall.
